So, last weekend was the debut of our first in a series of landscape photography workshops. We couldn't have picked a better day, temps in the high 70's, low humidity, and a few wispy clouds thrown in the backdrop for good measure. We were lucky enough to have the workshop sponsored by Hitech Filter Systems, who provided us with complete filter set ups for all of the workshop attendees. We focused our attention on using grad nd filters to hold back highlights in the sky and we also did some long exposures as well.
We went to 2 different locations to spice it up a bit. We even had a some nice colors in the sky for a quick sunset setup. Check out the recap video below to see exactly what we were up to. Video produced, filmed, edited by Peter Krol.
Here are some behind the scenes images that I was able to capture-
Here's a group shot from left to right: Barbara, Chad, Rich, Me (kneeling), Peter, Sean, and Elizabeth.
I look forward to continuing the series of landscape workshops in the future, stay tuned to the blog for more info! You can find a tutorial on using filters for landscape photography on the blog by clicking here.
